Grizzly Bear + Two Weeks Video

I know this is a fan-made video, but damn!  JT Helms’ fanciful editing and lightness of touch make this new song seem even newer (I really don’t know what that means, just watch the thing).

For those of you who don’t know, Grizzly Bear’s Veckatimest drops on May 26.

Vega + No Reasons

Ever since GVB posted Vega‘s “No Reasons”, it’s been going round and round in our head like so many spins of the proverbial record player… or skateboard wheel.  Now that the classy folks at Butter Team have made ‘No Reasons’ the unofficial theme song to Thrashin’ — the young Josh Brolin vehicle involving dropping into pools and skate gangs (natch) — we’d be idiots not to turn you on to this song and it’s inexhaustible charms.

Vega’s Well Known Pleasures drops on May 19, MP3 below.  Tour dates after the jump.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs + Zero Video & MP3

Vodpod videos no longer available.

Like Franz Ferdinand’s latest ‘Tonight,’ the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s find themselves exploring a more synth-focused sound on their new album ‘It’s Blitz.’  While this approach might be a little hit or miss, you can definitely  Add ‘Zero’ to the early ballot for top song of 2009.

Kanye West + “Welcome To Heartbreak”

New video, not a single though, from Kanye. Directed by Nabil Elderkin, the video takes blurry, cable television static and flips its digital converter box just in time for the death of analog.  Yes, that’s Kid Cudi on the hook.  Maybe this nonsense is what made the video all squiggly?

Jeremy Jay + Lite Beam Video & MP3

As per yoozh, the king of melancholy funk delivers a song and video that are both melancholy and funky.  The man does not disappoint!  “Lite Beam,” off the Love Everlasting EP (which, by the way, is only $3.50 at Amazon) shows that Jay continues to grow as an artist and is a bit more uptempo than the material off his A Place Where We Could Go LP.  Enjoy.
