Phoenix Returns With Free New Track For Cartier + New Album Title

Those oh-so-charming Frenchmen from Phoenix have been keeping kind of quiet since they quit touring for their amazing 2006 record, “It’s Never Been Like That.”  But like some sort of ash-rising mythological bird, the band appears ready to reappear and get down and dirty with the business of releasing another album.

According to their website it looks like the new album will be titled “Twenty-One One Zero” and if that news wasn’t sweet enough, the band has gone ahead and provided fans with a preview video and free track download through Cartier’s LOVE site

The instrumental track appears to be untitled (or more likely, I just can’t find it), and ventures closer to the moodier stuff of their first two albums.  A dead ringer for any Tangerine Dream track on “Risky Business” this song is definitely getting us excited for the impending release of the new record.

Twenty-One One Zero is the title for the free semi-instrumental track, a title has yet to be announced for the new album.
