Wall-E Has Really Hit Hard Times
We usually try to avoid viral videos (they start to smell of age as soon as you post them), but it’s a slow news day. I’m curious to know just what these marketers were thinking. How does this make me want to drink Absolut????
Watch this DJ Tanner and Joey Gladstone tear-jerker and tell me it isn’t the most bizarre, strangely fascinating, surreal, hilarious, hypnotic thing you’ve ever seen. I honestly couldn’t take my eyes off the screen, I thought I was dreaming.
You’re Not My Father
Gondry sat in on drums with the garage rockers while some cuh-razy animation was projected against the wall. Also, a marima is involved. Just watch.
It might be blasphemy to say that I like New Order better than Joy Division (it’s true) but for those of you who like both, check out New Order doing Transmission, Shadowplay and Love Will Tear Us Apart from their new Live In Glasgow DVD.
iMeem is streaming the entire thing here.

Before you watch this video, watch Wes Anderson’s American Express commercial below. Director Richard Oyade pretty much rips it off in a video that portrays the band as they deal with new found fame, fans and imitators.

Adam Yauch/MCA/Nathaniel Hornblower/Cochise is currently promoting his streetball documentary, “Gunnin’ For That Number 1 Spot” and will be stopping by Current TV’s L.A. studios to answer any and all viewer questions. Variety reports that Friday and The Italian Job director, F. Gary Gray, has secured the rights to use Marvin Gaye’s unimpeachable catalog of music from his Motown years for a biopic on the singer. Gray had previously been unwilling to make the movie without securing these rights (I mean you couldn’t really do the [...]
Featuring past and future Arizona Wildcats, Jerryd Bayless and Brandon Jennings, this movie looks like streetball at its best and features a new Beastie Boys track as well as Jay-Z and Nas on the soundtrack.
From The Playlist
Directed by Adam Yauch (of the Beastie Boys), Gunnin’ follows eight of the country’s hottest high school basketball players [...]

Ever since last year’s amazing and underrated, Zodiac, we’ve been waiting to see how David Fincher’s next movie “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” would turn out. Judging from the trailer, it looks like things turned out well. Brad Pitt stars as the man who ages backwards and Fincher looks like he adds [...]
The Kidz with a ‘Z’ and their second album, The In Crowd, are currently playing on repeat in our car and iTunes and show no signs of being bumped from the rotation any time soon. Have to admit, I wasn’t sold at first, but the record does a better job updating the classic Tribe [...]
Our old buddy, White, went all the way back to his New Violence EP for his latest video. We were infatuated with the 90s action video for “New Violence” and this one takes a decidedly different approach (i.e. he actually appears in the thing). Enjoy.
